Reflect on the evaluating and how well I think the class has worked together

For Grease lightning, I think harmony was really good, almost perfect. We had backup singers, and had solo part of electric guitar, kolintang and Baritone. We also had clap part together. The sound was really good and our team work was good. For Candy, it was also good harmony to play with kolintang, piano, drum and guitar. It was reminded of a road band. For last song of Wavin’ Flag, the melody of song was like magnificent and grand. This song also had really good harmony. I was doing backup singer in Grease lightning, first I was shy to sing but it goes away gradually so I could sing the song. But the one that I feel the lack was I needed more confidence to sing the song. I was playing the piano in Candy, I got confused when the code was changed suddenly but I practiced more and more with a beat then I could play the piano of Candy. I was happy to play the piano with a beat. It gave me fun and interest. I was playing the kolintang in Wavin’ Flag, actually I did not spend a lot of time to play the kolintang in Wavin’ Flag but I saw the note then played the song of Wavin’ Flag. I think our team work was good and I was tried to do my best.

In Wavin’ flag, I was doing kolintang. To be honest, I did not focus on this song I mean I could not because at first I was not playing the piano in Candy, but suddenly I adopted to play the piano so I focused on the playing the piano. Anyway, I could play the kolintang in Wavin’ Flag not as perfectly but a little. 

Reflect on the creating stage - Candy

In Candy, I was doing a piano. At first, Candy’s major was C but suddenly we changed into F major because the main singers wanted to sing higher. So my piano code also changed. I got confused when the code was changed, but I practiced and tried to memorized then I could play the piano code perfectly and easily. I think changed the code was better than the before one. 

Reflect on the creating stage - Grease lightning

We were doing the song of Grease lightning. I was doing the backup singer. I think we needed more microphones because we were using only one microphone so our backup voices could not hear loudly. And in Grease lightning, sang a chord was the hardest because sometimes we could match the chord but sometimes could not. It was really hard for us. 

Reflect on the design/planning stag

First, we suggested any kinds of the songs and wrote on the whiteboard then we selected three of the songs. We choose Grease lightning, Candy and Wavin’ flag. We did some survey about what can you play and willing to do. We were using a piano, flute, violin, kolintang, drum, guitar, backup singers, main singers, etc. Our planning was we practiced the songs not together, just practiced one by one then teach the other team members. 

Reflect on the investigation part:

I investigated about instrumental with Min Jung and Se Hong. First, we had a lot of songs nominee such as medley, world changing song, battle of the bands, acting music videos, evolution of singer/band, classical to modern, battle of the countries, 4chords and seasons. We made a Powerpoint and prepared a script. I think we were doing well because we explained about instrumental clearly and also we gave some examples of instrumental so the audiences (students) could understand easily and quickly.
